The Sweet Science of Bruising

Directed by Molly Innes, we are pleased to present our School of Acting graduating class in Joy Wilkinson’s ‘The Sweet Science of Bruising’.

Weds 15th & Fri 17th June 2.30pm,
Thurs 16th & Sat 18th June 7.30pm

‘The Sweet Science of Bruising’ is Joy Wilkinson’s ode to women everywhere. In highlighting the vulnerabilities of women in the 19th century, this production reminds us just how far we’ve come – and how much further we really have to go – in allowing the strength of women to truly shine through.

Based on historical research into 19th-century women’s boxing, ‘The Sweet Science of Bruising’ is a fascinating play, featuring an ensemble cast, this is an epic tale of passion, politics and pugilism, presented by our School of Acting graduating class.
