Thank you for visiting our website. The MGA Academy for Performing Arts is one of the UK’s most dynamic and innovative training institutions – and it is growing!

Over the next three years we will increasing the numbers of degree programmes from three in 2021 to twelve by 2024. We are also dramatically increasing the size of our facilities making us one of the UK’s best resourced institutions.

We are doing this because we recognise the unique and high quality of what we do, we recognise that our rigorous and intensive training gets our students into work, and finally we recognise that we are one of only a few vocational performing arts institutions in Scotland.

I am honoured to be chairman of this institution and to work with the highly skilled and creative team delivering our programmes.

So what makes us unique?

• All our programmes are employment driven, they focus on the development of creativity, technical skill, entrepreneurship, and rigorous critical thinking.
• Our belief that the act of performing in front of an audience is one of the most valuable learning opportunities (learning through doing).
• MGA teaching staff all have substantial performance experience, teaching experience, as well as formal qualifications.
• Our outstanding network with the performing arts in Scotland and indeed the world.
