About The MGA Academy

The MGA Academy of Performing Arts is an aspiring centre of excellence providing training, support and promotion for young performers.

Mindful that there are very few independent, specialist Performing Arts Academies outside of London that offer not only the expert tuition required but also the industry contacts and career development tools young performers deserve, The MGA Academy strives to give those London-based schools a touch of competition from ‘up north’! It doesn’t all have to be about London, you know!

So, what’s going on?

We currently offer:

As an independent SQA Approved Centre, we can guarantee you high standards of training, and the opportunity to gain both HNC and HND qualifications in Performing Arts. Both our Full-Time Pre-vocational Course and Part-Time School are affiliated with Trinity and Guildhall College, London, and we have been awarded Recognised School Status by the Council for Dance Education and Training for all our part time classes and workshops. The MGA Academy are also proud members of the British Voice Association, FSB and Equity Advisory Service. We have a proven track record of delivering some of the best training and opportunities available in the UK.

The MGA Academy attracts some of the finest tutors from across the UK and beyond. The Academy originated in and operates from our flagship studio facilities in Edinburgh, and we have now opened a second Academy in Brighton, to be closely followed by a third in New York. We are very fortunate in having a fantastic team of many dedicated professionals who form our teaching staff across all three bases, and an amazing group of consultants and visiting professionals who share their skills and experiences of life in the industry with our students.

By concentrating on a manageable student intake, to whom we can offer not only initial training but also ongoing support and advice after graduation, The MGA Academy of Performing Arts is becoming an obvious choice for anyone seriously considering a career in Musical Theatre.
