Flashdance the Musical

Join the students of the MGA Academy of Performing Arts as they take to the biggest stage in the UK for this epic musical… FLASHDANCE at The Festival Theatre, Edinburgh!

With standing ovations for its 5-star production of THE PRODUCERS in 2012 The MGA Academy of Performing Arts presents FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL.

18-year-old Alex works as a welder in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and by night dances in a bar – as a ‘flashdancer’. She dreams of gaining a place at a prestigious dance school and becoming a professional performer, but things get complicated as she begins to fall for her boss, Nick, at the steel mill. Alex will need the support of her friends if she is to pursue her dream and make it as a dancer.

FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL features all the unforgettable hits from the movie, including ‘I Love Rock and Roll’, ‘Maniac’, ‘Gloria’, ‘Manhunt’ and, of course, ‘Flashdance – What A Feeling’.

With American director Dr Michael Hill-Kirkland and international choreographer Murray Grant and his hi-energy dancers, FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL looks set to leave Edinburgh audiences breathless.

What a feeling!
